On Apr. 20, the First “Moving Youth Palace” Activity of Yiwu City successfully ended in Choucheng No. 1 Primary School. Themed on “Send Lessons to Schools”, the activity was successively carried out in Yinyuan Campus of Binwang Primary School, Jiangnan Campus of Experimental Primary School, Primary School Affiliated to Zhejiang Normal University, Xiuchuan Campus of Xiuhu Primary School, and so on to bring the knowledge and joy of out-of-school education to more than 11,000 teenage students.

In order to ensure the fullness and closeness to students of the first activity, the Yiwu Youth Palace invited teachers who were highly popular in the market to give lessons. Scientific, technological, and ceramic lessons like ultra-light clay making, merry-go-round DIY, carbon molecular model assembly, etc. were welcomed by teachers and students and improved the handling ability of students while increasing their interest in scientific exploration. Besides colorful lessons, the First “Moving Youth Palace” Activity also lent for free nearly 10 thousand sets of Safety and Self-protection Manual for Teenagers to the schools, and every student got one. The Manual publicized knowledge about fire protection, drowning prevention, traffic safety, drug control, and first aid to students in the forms of cartoon and picture.

In the second half of this year, the Second “Moving Youth Palace” Activity of Yiwu will focus on primary schools in remote mountainous areas and special schools and regard them as the object of service with the aim to let the children there experience and contact more out-of-school knowledge and skills and help them grow up in an all-round, healthy, and happy way.
